Layon has been selected by the La Napoule Art Foundation Board of Trustees and La Maison Baldwin for a prestigious artist residency in Southern France on the French Riviera from February 24 - March 24, 2025.
He is one of only 4 black writers chosen from around the world to participate in this program which has been nurturing artists for over seven decades.
During his stay, he will be living in the beautiful Château de la Napoule, a French castle located in Mandelieu-la-Napoule in the Alpes-Maritimes region of southern France.
Inspired by James Baldwin's legacy, this partnership aims to nurture creativity, foster intellectual exchanges, and amplify the voices of Black writers worldwide.
